    Sony Vaio VGN-NR120E Downgrade From Vista to XP

    I am trying to downgrade from vista to xp, and when i try to run the xp setup, i get the error: "windows cannot find any hard drives on your computer, make sure they are properly inserted." i tried everything i could think of, if you know what to do, give me easy to read steps, links,etc. thanks!

    Can you link me to the exact link to the SATA Driver? also how would i go about loading the driver or whatever, im new at this stuff.

    I found this doing a quick search on google. Trying it right now (burning recovery discs first), so I don't know if all of the files are great but hopefully this will at least help you get started.

    Also, on the Sony Vaio website there is a page that states that if you downgrade you can lose some functionality (supposedly shorter battery life, etc). I'm sure it is still worth it in order to be rid of Vista, but you may want to search for it so you are not surprised.
