I've had the above laptop for more than a year - no problems. All of a sudden the green light, indicating wireless connectivity, doesn't work. I've done some research and apparently there was a bug with the wireless adaptor and basically to fix the driver needed to be uninstalled and the laptop restarted. Once restarted the laptop automatically searched for and found the driver and the wireless was working again. However, I got fed up of this. Yesterday when uninstalling the driver (from Network Adaptors in the Device Manager) I ticked a box - I can't remember exactly what it said, but it was something like - "do you want to delete the drivers". Basically, I've got NO way of reconnecting the wireless connection as a result of doing this. Again, I've researched and apparently I need to download a driver. I tried doing this last night on my desktop, transferring to memory stick, then onto laptop but this didn't work. No CD came with the Vaio and I haven't made a backup. The laptop now says that there is no Ethernet Connectivity and the ethernet adaptor needs to be installed. But I can't see how I can do this if I can't connect to the internet. Is there any way to fix this, or should I do a system restore? I mainly use the laptop for internet and only have iTunes, Skype and TomToms software on there.
