I purchased recently a Sony Vaio VGN-Z590. The O.S. installed on the laptop is Vista Ultimate.

The problem - it's almost impossible to type more than a few words because the cursor jumps randomly to a previous sentence I type or backwards.

This makes the Vaio be a very problematic product.

I hope someone will know how to solve this issue.

    Thanks!!

haha yeah thats what it sounds like to me...my girlfriend does that all the time, and it makes her soo mad! I watched her type one time and realized one of her thumbs sits on the trackpad. I believe there is an option to turn the trackpad off while typing somewhere?

    I absolutely don't touch the pad! :)

Maybe typing fast on the keyboard makes the pad to get some vibrations (it might be too sensitive).

How can I disable the pad when an external mouse is plugged in?
