intel or nvidia?
-
here is what ccleaner tells me about my laptop :
intel core 2 duo CPU T9600 2,80 ghz
4.0 GB RAM
Mobile intel 4 series express chipset family
( my laptop is japanese, that s why I ve a hard time to find proper drivers)
my problem is since I reinstalled the system via the recovery disk, all the s like controling the brightness of the screen do not work anymore, the stamina/speed is not working and when I use photoshop, things such as the animated zoom that uses open GL doesn t work... -
( but on the computer, a stickers mentions "graphics by nvidia")

OK
if you reinstall whit original recovery disk all drivers and app has to be there
but for me looks you reinstall only OS (win7)
drivers are here Sony : VAIO VGN-Z5 drivers | Download drivers and updates for VGN-Z5
for brightness and Fn keys have to instal:
Sony Shared Library
VAIO Event Service
BTW here in this forum is mentioned X-times than for future read more
last Q : it been this laptop opened? -
thx for your time, sorry did nit read that much the forum.
btw, my OS is vista, not 7 and your link is about the VGN-Z5 s windows 7 updates : (
Oh yeah, this laptop s been opened and used many times ^^ -
for Vista here
Sony : VAIO VGN-Z4 drivers | Download drivers and updates for VGN-Z4

U can install drivers from any version of VGN-Z. The only problem...I suspect you have 32bit version of WinVista...am I right? In that case you need to use 32bit version of those drivers and there are not many possibilities...
