My brother bought this vaio VPCEB15FM about 6 months ago and now when i start it up it says "SMART Failure predicted on Hard Disk. Warning : Immediatly back-up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent. Press F1 to continue"
but it hangs up in the loading window. I tried to install a fresh copy of windows but it still get stucked in after selecting language windows. It stuck in everywere i try.
what to do now?

It may be likely that the SMART warning happened immediately before the drive failure.
I don't know if you'll be able to recover any of your data, if the failure is mechanical, but the Ultimate Boot CD (google it) has tools for free data recovery.
Regardless, it's time to order a new HDD.

Oh! I forgot to acknowledge that it's only 6 months old. Contact Sony so they can send a replacement.
