Hi all. I'm new to this forum, and I have a problem that is really bugging me. I play a game online called Doubledown Casino, it's associated with Facebook. There are numerous slot games there. Since I got this Vaio, I can only play a few of them. They are all on the same page, the same site, etc. I have upgraded Flash, java. Tried downgrading both. Have contacted their support, they won't help. I can still play this on my old HP, and any other computer, and all mobile devices. But not on this Vaio. Can someone shed some light on what it might be about this laptop that is causing problems? Now I know, playing this game may seem insignificant, but there are several of us in this house that do it. And it just makes no sense that this laptop is the only one to have issues, and only on CERTAIN GAMES. That's what confounds me.

I am running Windows 7 professional, have IE 9 ( I get errors and can't go to 10. ) I have tried Chrome and Firefox, it's all no go. Disabled my AVG temporarily, still no go.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I'm surprised it won't even run on chrome or firefox. You said you updated Flash, did you try updating/installing Shockwave? according to adobe's FAQ, shockwave is different than regular Flash. I would try installing shockwave:

    Adobe - Adobe Shockwave Player

Yes, I have updated/installed shockwave flash. Someone else told me that Flash and SWflash were not the same, so I tried it. That's what bugs me, I could understand it not running on explorer, because IE can be so problematic. But I was sure that Chrome and Firefox would work fine. It's very frustrating. ( but thanks for the reply )

This is the part that is troubling. What errors are you getting? and why can't you upgrade to IE10? That could be the root of the problem.

Have you done a malware scan? If not, scan using malwarebytes in windows Safe Mode.

Have you tried installing IE 10 manually from the installer?
Download Internet Explorer 10 - Microsoft Windows

Yes, I have tried installing manually. I don't remember the error, but I will try it again and post the error code here. When I googled it, I found that it was a common problem. I was, however, able to upgrade to explorer 11. It's horrid, and it didn't fix the issue, I tried it, so I restored back to IE9.

    Here is the error code.

    "WindowsUpdate_00009C59"

I found a microsoft "help" section, I tried everything except installing in boot state. Nothing works, and nothing worked for anyone else that was posting there either.

All that aside, I have chrome and firefox and neither works for my initial problem. It's just so frustrating because I feel it's something simple and I am overlooking it
