This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Sony Vaio VPCSE190X broken backlight on keyboard

    The backlight on my keyboard has stopped lighting up, and also the power button and the battery light next to it on the side. Everything else works perfectly.

    I think it is hardware related because it doesn't work in either Windows 7 or Ubuntu 14.04.

    I can't find anything online that describes this problem.
