    Hello,
    I have a Sony Vaio VPCYB35KX
The sony.com says that the Max. Memory : 4GB
    VPCYB35KX/S | CLEARANCE VAIO Y Series 11.6" Laptop | Sony | Sony Store USA
but I disassembled the laptop, and that there is an available slot DIMM2 for memory,
somebody tell me is it possible to run this laptop on 8GB of memory or not?
Why did Sony artificially restricts the memory and whether this is a work around?
