    Hi

I got this laptop 4 months ago with OS Windows 7 Home Edition. However, due to the software I work on only works on OS Windows XP or below and IE6, I had to delete Windows 7 and install a fresh Windows XP on it. I had a hard time finding drivers for this laptop for XP, but I managed to find a lot of them. But, I am still looking for Audio drivers. If I go to Audio and Sounds in Control Panel, it does not show any audio device on it. I tried many drivers which I could find on the net.

If anyone can please help me with the correct audio drivers for this laptop and how to install them as I have heard we need to first take care of HD Audio Bus drivers before installing the audio drivers themselves.

    Thanks
    Rohit

    Hi

I have a Sony laptop model VPCEH12FX, came with OS Windows 7 Home, had to install Windows XP because of my software limitation for such windows with IE6. I had a lot of trouble finding drivers for this laptop compatible with XP, but was able to find a lot. My problem is that I am still not able to find drivers for audio. Also, in control panel, it does not show any audio device attached or running.

When I search for audio drivers from Sony's own esupport site, it shows the drivers for Conexant HD Audio for Windows 7 only, however, I could not find drivers for XP anywhere on the internet.

If someone can please provide me with the correct drivers for this model compatible with Windows XP, it would be really appreciative.

    Thanks
    Rohit
