    Hey guys,
I bought a Sony Vaio X (11" model) for $50 on eBay and the only issue it had according to the seller was that it didn't charge but still worked off power. When I received the notebook, I plugged it in and turned it on and it booted to the Windows starting screen but didn't proceed any further. I thought that maybe the installation was messed up, so I booted from my Windows 7 installation USB and it loaded the drive, and got to a mouse pointer and didn't proceed ant further. Then I started to get worried because its not an issue with the current installation and its not an issue with the 64GB SSD. I have also tried numerous Live distros of Linux and no avail :( Anyone know what the issue could be? I love the notebooks design and don't want to return it to the seller and I really want it to work :p Anyways, Thanks :)

You got a Vaio X for 50 bucks? Lucky!

Is it running the stock BIOS?

Have you run any hardware diagnostics?
