    Hi guys,

I have a 13 inch Sony Vaio Z from Sept 2010 with a 512 gb SSD in there. Besides the fan running all the time, which I have heard is normal for this 13 inch vaios, the palmrest always used to remain cool while the bottom would get hotter.

Now, after couple repair jobs (actually to fix things after the home tech screw up other things in lieu of replacing the keyboard), the palmrest was sent to the depot and thankfully they put back the screws to securely hold the palmrest in place. Now, I wonder if they removed any thermal pasted and put less of it when the unit was reassembled as even sitting in front of a fan (my room does get hot these days), my bottom remains cool but the palmrest does get warm even with an SSD in it.

I also have seen that my fingerprint reader wasn't reading my enrolled finger. Has anyone experienced this issue with the fingerprint readers and any troubleshooting methods for it?
