I wanted to purchase a new sony vaio z ivy bridge but it has no verizon or other mobile broadband.

Any one know why? Is there another release that you know about?

The Japan version has mobile broadband(LTE) optional. There must be a way, but for some reasons, it's not available on US model.

I have been asking the same thing since the release.... that was a deal breaker for me so I purchased a z2 SB and saved a marginal amount (300-400$). I would guess with the refresh it should be available.
