    Hello,

Does anyone know when the Sony Vaio Z series was actually removed from the Sony UK site? I was planning to order my Z series tonight. But i went on the site to configure it and it wasn't there, DOH!!!

Is this cos they are planning to update the site with the new Z series?

Is there any other site where you can configure and order a Z series?

There has been some speculation that that is the case in another thread:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/646789-z3-coming-soon-says-sony-rep-19.html#

Conics is a site where you can CTO a vaio Z:

SHOP Conics : Sony Vaio Type Z Core i7, 512GB raid SSD options

    all the best.

At sony.se, you can still configure a Z, but there´s only one CPU to choose from. Also, the free 8GB memory upgrade expires tomorrow 14/5.

As stated in the other thread mentioned above, sales reps in Sony Finland said you could pre-order the new Z starting tomorrow, these are a few more hints supporting that.

I noticed that there was a price reduction in the PCworld store in Trafford Manchester UK. Looks like the refresh will be out soon. Hope they have not just dropped it like they did with the brilliant TT and TZ series.

    Thanks for the replies.

Conics is too expensive. I saw the the US sony site was selling the z series for around £1500 with the specs i want but they dont think abroad, doh!
I guess may wait for new z series, though it will cost a lot more then i would have liked to pay.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to basically rebuild a vaio tt11m internally? Meaning putting in an i7 processor, ssd hd, more ram?
I assume it could be but you would have to get professional to do it, right?

    Thanks

Oh, that would be a case for LaptopOne. And I don't think It can be done, But as before with this forum, I have been proved incorrect, so others may be able to advise.
