Yes but without the Full HD screen.
Maybe some problems with Japan factories (in France the first part that became out of stock was this full HD screen, a few days before Z becomes unavailable as CTO).

Doubt it, cause it would mean a GPU upgrade as well... unless they add a new nvidia GT540 ... doubt it though, time will tell.
And if no GPU upgrade, then Sandy bridge will not be a real improvement as an i7 2620m and the i7 640m are pretty much same in performance.

    (
There are quite a few online stores selling the 9-cell, 7200 mWH for a little over $160 US (see below - credit given where due), some $100 less than from Sony as an accessory (though they're only $100 when you buy them with a system). I'm speaking of the Sony branded battery; unbranded ones are not recommended, need a bios change in your Z to work, and are not much cheaper than the ones below.

EDIT: I just checked these two to confirm that they are current and found the first is and the second is not currently (but has good price and rep, so worth having for future possible use). I also was sufficiently influenced by caldoer's worry that I bought one! Unlike most of the other "discounters" on eBay, this one stocks and ships from California (vs. Honk Kong, with app. 2 week delay for deliv, and often $35 shipping cost) and it is the lowest price for any I have seen: $159 with free ground shipping and no tax except in Ca. Also, note that as of when I purchased this, there were 8 left in stock. There were a couple of other eBay merchants with some in stock, but prices over $200, possibly no cheaper than from Sony direct after shipping costs.

I asked in the sony online chat thing (UK) and got the response that production had stopped due to the Japan crisis, and that production has restarted on 6th of may, and that they will be back online soon as possible.
He didn't specify how long that would be though.

or it could simply be replaced by another model name for eg. ZW or something. which will be released in the near future. no big deal.
