I don't really know what happened, but one day my computer decided to bluescreen on me for an unknown reason, and ever since my function keys have not been working.

To be more specific, my volume keys DO work, but there is no display on the screen as to how much or little I am adjusting the volume. The brightness keys don't work at all and the stamina/speed switch will not work while the computer is on, but if I turn it off, switch it over and boot, it will boot up with the respective video card active.

What's up? This thing was a pain in the butt to reformat and really don't want to have to go through the trouble of doing it again, especially when I was just shooting off the hip the first time I did it. :p

    Any help would be lovely.

    Thanks,

    Andrew :)

can you check if you have both the "VAIO Event Service" and "VAIO Power Management" services running ?

Hm, they are not. The one "Vaio" process that is running is "Vaio Care Service".

That would be your problem then. If you have those services available, could you start them or are they felling because something else is missing?

Hm, so weird. I opened up services.msc and vaio event service was set to manual. I don't know how that happened.

    Anywho, thanks a bunch! :D
