Hi guys, just ordered my sony vaio z from sony europe.
I have 2 years warranty included for free and decided to order additional 2 years warranty --> 4 years of warranty on the sony vaio z.

My question is: What happens if the laptops fails, for instance the hard drive crash?
Do I have to send it in through DHL, and pay for the shipping by my own or do Sony pay for the shipping since I have the extra warranty?

Your warranty does not cover accidental damage i read that you asked that question in another thread. These laptops come with a 3 year warranty as standard until January. Maybe it would have been better for you to buy the at home service warranty pack instead.

I do believe that you have to pay for shipping. I maybe be wrong on that but i doubt that i am. It says that you have to pay for shipping in the warranty terms and something that someone told me before kind of suggested to me that was the case as well.

Too bad I live in Sweden, the on-site warranty isn't available to purchase here in Sweden...wonder if I can change the 2 year regular warranty I just purchased to an on-site warranty if Sony decided to offer this service here in Sweden without paying the complete amount, just the difference.
