Hello everybody, I have a vaio z, but speakers are so poor, i heard about a program named "srs premium sound"
have someone tried it? do it really increase sound power?
bye!

SRS Premium Sound is "technically" only available on specific notebook models and unfortunately the Z isn't one of them. SRS Premium Sound is specifically tailored to the notebook (and its speakers) it is meant for. SRS HD Audio Lab ( $29.99) is a generic version of SRS Premium Sound meant for more universal use. There is an online demo and a free trial of HD Audio Lab available.
I haven't tried HD Audio Lab but I have tired a different version with my VGN-Z and there is a difference in sound (good in some ways bad in others, I recommend checking out the online demo or trial to see an example.) -

I haven't tried the generic version on a Z, but I used the trial on a couple of likewise audibly challenged notebooks and it gives you some adjustments that can slightly improve sound on some types of audio, but there is just so little for a hardware or software solution to work with given the tin foil speakers in these things. Perhaps the $29 would be better invested in a Bluetooth or USB speaker; there are quite a few and they help a good deal. -
ahh ok, i will try the demo version.
I asked this because my mother has a samsung 9 series with very poor speakers like the Z and it came with this program preinstalled, when SRS is on, the improving in power and clarity of the speakers was amazing, specially the power.
thats why i'm trying to look for this in the Z, as I read it is suposed to work on all the realtek drivers -

Please let us know how it does when you install it in the Z. When it's pre-installed I think it works much better than when you use the downloaded version. Also, your post intrigued me and I tried to download the trial version and it wouldn't install - got hung up at a certain point and stayed there. Beware: it was a witch to get all the entrails of the software out of your system (if you have the same installation problem) and it tries to get you to take all the Bing crapware and another 3rd party cw. Be sure to uncheck those boxes. -
I tried it, it's impossible
but i don't know why, because both samsung and vaio z uses the same audio driver, realtek -
That's so true. I tried that SRS thingy, and it did a little bit for the speakers, but a lot more for the earplugs.
