Has anyone done it? If so, what did you use?
I'm thinking about installing DiskCryptor but I want to know if anyone else has tried and run across any issues.
Thanks

There are many different types of disk encryption. Some are per-user, and keeps files hidden from other users of your system. Some unlocks the entire system for all processes, friendly or not. Some require a hardware device attached while in use. Some prevent certain system utilities (disk management, defragmenter, backup) from working. Some are only useful if someone screws your machine apart and steals the HD...
Try to figure out what kind of encryption you want before making a choice. -
Check out the Z i5/i7 owner's lounge. I posted benchmarks of TrueCrypt and DiskCryptor there. Bitlocker is not a reasonable option in the US due to lack of TPM. In a nutshell, use DiskCryptor. Accept no other. It's 10 times faster than TrueCrypt and gives "no penalty" encryption. It truly has no impact on performance. TrueCrypt will cut your disk speed in half and spike your CPU, it's CPU bound.
