Geez, I might as well make a thread for everything Z1-related since I seem to break EVERYTHING in it!!

K, so, a long time ago (when all my troubles began), I replaced my Z's LCD screen. Behind the LCD, there is a magnet that tells the laptop to turn the screen off when it is closed. Well, I lost the magnet, but ordered a new one. After installing it, however, the screen still does not turn off. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. According to Zoinks' picture here, the magnet's red line has to be on the bottom where the LCD screen is. So I'm not sure if I'm installing it wrong or what. It seems to have a lot of trouble even staying in place, so much so I had to put some Scotch tape over it to keep it in place. So is there some sort of minute method to installing it that I'm just not doing right?

How about you try test a magnet on the sensor? It's right about the right mouse button and the "WIRELESS" light.
