    Hi,
1st of all i have read ALOT of connection dropping topics, and although my head is spinning from information overload, i do not think any are relevant.

Since i have had my Z12C5E when i try to download anything of a fairly big size, my connection drops, youtube HD clips, tv episodes via newsgroups or torrents.

at 1st i thought it was a programme conflict, but then i realised youtube even made this happen.

The connection is completely fine when NOT downloading anything.

It happens virtually all the time, whether it be 2 mins into a download or 20. I have contacted Sony who have been about as much use as a screen door on a submarine, telling me to do a full restore, ( which is no good as this has happend since the 2nd day of owning the machine, before i had installed anything apart from msn and my newsgroup client )

    I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64.
the network adapter is CENTRINO ADVANCED-N 6200 AGN

I have changed no setting on the internet side of things besides unticking the allow pc to turn it off to save power option .

can anyone help me with this please?

Search the forum. Common problem due to thermal throttling on the wifi chipset. Rolling back drivers seems to be the fix.
