Sony VAIO VGP-PRZ20A Power Media Dock

So my dock I thought had completely died but it turns out I think it is only the video card in the dock.
All other connection ports on the dock and the blueray work!
I'm using the HDMI to monitor direct from the laptop.
When HDMI plugged into dock the screen Pixelates and error message kills the laptop.
Anyone else had a dead video card in their dock?
Anyone know how to open a dock to look at video card?

Is there any attempted solutions or is the card gonnnnneeee?
