Is it worthy to get i7? Or i5 is better because of cost x benefit?
    Is i5 fast enough?

    Is i7-2640M quad core?

    Edit:
There are to much difference between i7-2640M and i5-2410M?

For most purposes, there is little performance difference (10-15% or so)between dual core i7s and i5s and even less noticeable difference to the user. As far as I've heard/read, unless you have a specific cpu-intensive application, the SB i5 is quite powerful and will generate less heat and save perhaps a bit of battery life.

EDIT: Just saw in the Z2 Owners Lounge that you have already posted these same links, haha! Question is: why are you asking if you already had the info??

i am not techno much, but if the i7 to i5 is about the 10% to 15% difference, then it makes sence since the price difference of i7 t i5 is also about 10% to15% compare to whole price of the laptop.

But also perhaps 15% more heat, shorter battery life (Tho' some say faster CPU finishes and returns to wait state/low power sooner so who knows?

To tell you the truth, I've seen this question asked over and over in forums like this and the answer, given by people who know way more than I, is invariably to go with the i5, and spend the money on something else - or just save it!

it would be cool to see two identical Z2 but one with i5 and another i7.
let them run battery test and perfomance test side by side at the same time.
then we can truely tell whether its $ worth or not.

anyway, I am trying to get my Z2 today off a local guy. its a Z239 with i7/128GBSSD/1600x900/8GB for $1500. sounds like a good deal to me. hopefully everything works out good.
