    Hello,

    Does anyone know if there are any sort of cover like the one SGP makes for the old Vaio Z? I kind of want one for the palm rest area so not much of the oil shows and makes the black shiny.

    I got my invisible shield custom cut at my local tint shop. If you're interested, I can get one cut and mailed to you. The "kit" they make is the palmrest as either a 1 piece upside down "U" shape or two rectangles (leaving the upper trackpad area bare) and a lid piece.

    Oh crap I'm sorry. I misread when I saw you mentioned "old Z" in the first post. I got mine custom cut for the Z1.

    just wondering will the Z1's leather skin fit (considering not covering the two edges on Z2)? Or if not, is there generic leather skin for sale so we can cut it to fit the Z2?

    Anyone try the 2010 model skin on the Z2? Does it work well? I'm looking for a leather skin just like this but for my Z2. I'm already getting light scratches on my lid.

    Hello to all..

    @Versager

    I have a Sony z21 and it is black. I want to change the color and was hoping to apply some skin decals or whatever to make it look more fancy... i like anything metallic blue or silver/gold/ or chrome.

    the SGP 2011 Z skin carbon looks good but it is black

    Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything that is affordable and easy to apply and remove?

    unfortunately, it is hard to create my own design using those sites suggested on another forum. i was hoping for something really made for the Z2...i am not good at customization etc..

    So I pulled the trigger and ordered one of the gearzap's sony vaio Z 2011 model carbon skins...I've been waiting for it like a little child for Santa Claus, eventually it came after 2 weeks and the result is:

    dissapointment

    It just doesn't fit the back of the laptop as it should. There's a clear horizontal gap on the top and the bottom as well, simply said, the bloody skin should have been larger! Now the quality of the skin itself is not bad at all, looks nice and feels good to touch, but the size of it :eek:

    It clearly cuts the little Sony Vaio inscription in a half, there's the actual limit of the skin on the top. Sure I can live with it, but in general I wouldn't recommend it to any VPC-Z2 users who care about precision ;)

    Apologies for digging this up, but are there any updates on the SGP cove, or actually any other leather skins, on the Z2 or SVZ?
    I think I've seen a similar thread before with someone wrapping the Z2 with leather skin (including palmrests) but can't find it now...
