    Hi,

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NR10M/S and when the battery is charging (and laptop is turned off), the battery led flashes and the color is orange, but when it's supposedly completely charged the led turns off (does not become green for example). Is this normal? I'm used to seeing a green led with other laptops when it is fully charged.

Thanks in advance for your help.

In sony laptops, when you charge the battery and the current battery level is below 85%, the orange battery led will flash until the battery reach 85%. After the battery level is above 85%, the battery led turns off. There is no way to see whether the charge has finished because the led will turn off after 85%. If you charge it while it is powered on, then you can monitor the battery level until it reaches 100%
