My Sony Vaio SR-390 has a LTD133EWZX display which is:
13.3" , LED backlit , 1280x800 , WXGA , 30 pin LVDS connector.
The local repair store wants to change $579 for the screen + $79 for labor.
I can easily replace the display myself, but I have trouble finding a good place to buy it/and it's often too expensive (I am looking for around $200 maximum).
My question is this: If all the parameters match (size, resolution, connector), can the model number be different? Is there any leeway in terms of compatibility, or does the model number have to match exactly?
For example:
http://www.oh-china.com/lcd-screen-panels/13-3-inch/92-31013-001-P002.htm
Which is a display for the MacBook Air has all the same parameters, down to the connector. Would it work for my SR-390?
If the LVDS connector is the same, are displays compatible?

NOT
you need
LTD133EWZX
LTN133AT05-S02
LTN133AT05-S01
AWARE !!!! LTN133AT05 !!!!!!!! NOT compatible
have to be include S01 or S02 -
I have the same exact screen. LTN133AT05 S02 in my Sony SR410J. Just to make sure, the LTN133AT05 S01 should work fine?
Is there a website out there that i could check compatability?
Please delete, will make my own thread.
