    Hi guys,

I've just noticed that my Sony Vaio SZ (vgn-sz433) display is yellowish compared some other laptops I just saw at the store today.

Im quite shocked at the difference Has anyone else noticed this on their SZ?

Ive already maxed out the brightness. Could the bad quality be a backlight problem?

    thanks for any input

    Jim

It's probably a colour temperature setting for your graphics, rather than a hardware fault, I reckon. A lower colour temperature setting will look 'warm' - red/orange tint. A higher colour temperature will look 'cool' - blue/white tint. It's really a matter of preference and what to use depends on whether you are doing some colour critical work and the nature of ambient light around where you're working.

I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the graphics tweaking utility that's been recommended on this forum before a few times...
