    I have sony vaio model :pCG-7D2L + VGN-FS730/W. My laptop had so many viruses so i decided to reformat my laptop. I used an xp cd i had but after formatting my laptop when i start my computer a blue screen comes up and it says "A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YUOR COMPUTER". UNFORTUNATLEY I have lost my recovery cd and i tried the xp cd i had but it didnt work so can any1 tell me what to do

    safe mode?

    try other xp disc then install the diver and software yourself.

    or

    order a recovery disc from Sony and see if that works.
