    Hi
I've got a sony vaio SZ 79, after the replacement of the fan by Sony service center, every time I turn on the wireless and use the internet , I hear an annoying noise through the speakers , even if they are mute. I know the cause of the noise is from wireless device because when I turn off the wireless and use the cable, there is no noise. The problem is Sony service center has told me the main board has to be replaced with a new one (because they don't have any repair service) which will cost me a fortune. any better idea to get rid of this noise?
    Thanks.

The noise is from wireless interference, I had the same problem after replacing fan and it appears the coaxial cables from wireless card was not correctly fitted. Mine has 3 cables from wireless card, black cable should be connected on top connector, white on the middle and gray on the bottom connector. I rerouted them and the problem is gone. Also check that no cable is sandwitched between panels.
