    Sony Vaio problem with WIFI

    So heres the thing evry once in a while I get the message ``My WIFI Technology-adapter not found`` or ``your WIFI hardware has turned off`` and I checked the WIFI button and its on... I bought my laptop recently and its E series (VPCEB23FX) so can somebody tell me is it a easy fix if it is can anybody tell me the solution please? I dont understand computers very well :D so if u have a solution please explain it as simple as u can! Thank u...

    I had it when I got mine last week as well... just get the latest drivers from Intel for the 6200 wireless adapter.

    Are you using Atheros 9285? If so, then it's normal that it randomly disconnects. No solution available, just buy Intel 6200 instead.

    So yeah I just updated drivers... and we will see whats up I hope this solved this problem so far its good its working :) I ll let you know if its not... So thank yall!!!

    Hi,

    I purchased an expensive Sony VAIO VPC-Z13 series machine a few days ago. The latest and greatest.

    From the start the WLAN was problematic and did not work correctly.
    The WLAN Option disappears completely from the Sony Menu options.

    The dealer re installed a driver and the option returned and the machine could then see available WLAN networks. However as soon as the machine was restarted the WLAN option and Available networks disappeared again.

    I am now told the new machine must have a good part of its electronics replaced to solve the problem.

    From searching for similar problems on the internet i see this has been a common theme for Sony products for some time and now not certain Sony can offer a permanent solution.

    Should know the result in a few days when i get my machine back

    If you take my advice and you are still in time - get your money back from your retailer and buy something other than a Sony Vaio. Bought my expensive Vaio 18 months ago and had problem after problem ever since, including this WLAN issue. Wished I had got my money back in the first month when the retailer offered it, but I really WANTED this lovely machine to be as good as one would like to expect from a company such as Sony !!
