I have tried many versions of Sisoft Sandra on a Sony A217S.

I have reinstalled windows and the problem still persists.

Everytime I try and load the application I get:

"Failed to connect to target computer.
SiSoftware Sandra server not started; check SiSoftware Sandra installation."

I understand Sandra requires a program called MDAC. MDAC 2.8 is installed on the laptop. I have tried XP SP1 and SP2.

    Please assist. Thanks.

    I'd recommend contacting the developer.

Bit of an old thread, but AFAIK you need to install .NET Framework 2.0 in order to use SiSoft Sandra. I had the same problem, until observing some warnings during install saying there was some missing dependencies.

    Hope this helps!
