Hi everyone, I bought my VAIO in US several months ago, but I'm living outside of US (in Singapore). I am really confused about the warranty provided. It seems like it has limited warranty but it does not tell me if it is an international warranty. I wanted to drop them an email, but I have no idea how. Sony SG asks me country of purchase in their "contact us" form on their website, but US is not in the list. Sony US has an "email us" link but it says it's unavailable, though I'm not sure if it's because I'm not from US.

Anyone want to help me out, or give any advise?

I bought my vaio in the US (I live in Canada) about a couple of months ago and I had an issue with the screen, all i did was CALL sony vaio support and the confirmed that the warranty was international and my laptop was serviced locally, my advice is to call your local sony support branch and explain your problem, it is much easier and quicker than email because you'll get a response instantly, also sony warranty covers "repair by a local authorized repair shop", basically if you can find one near where you live you can take your laptop there and it's alot quicker than shipping it in.

I, too, have bought my S15 from the US and am currently residing in Singapore.

Before I bought the laptop, however, I made sure to contact a Sony rep (through live chat) with regards to the warranty Sony offers. Long story short, yes, a VAIO bought in the US will be covered for warranty in Singapore. But there are some simple procedures to follow (product registration).

Here is the link for the International Repair Service for Sony VAIOs:
Sony eSupport - Electronics - Support Information
(Singapore is one of the applicable countries)

Now, I have not arrived at a need to send my S15 in for repairs yet (fortunately), so I cannot vouch for the difficulties you might encounter on the Singapore service center side. Post and tell us how it goes if you do send in your laptop.
