Hey guys, I just wanted to know Sony's (in the USA) policy on price matching. The new Vaio SA (CTO version) decreased in price by $100 (so far it's not a system bug) and my purchase is still within the 30 day return period. If I contact Sony customer representatives, will they honor a price match? If anyone has had any experience with this, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

    *Edit*
To clarify, all the system specifications are exactly the same in the CTO order, but now $100 less.

I've been in a similar situation before and they ask you to return the system and order a new one at the lower price.

doesn't hurt to try! :) I'm an incessant penny pincher (college makes you do that... and i also kinda find it thrilling to get a good deal) and i recently spent 5 hours on the phone to get Best Buy to honor a $100 off coupon from staples to get an Asus Transformer for $330 for my father :p

I've gotten different answers from different reps. And it may depend if the computer is shipped or not.

With my Z13 a processor upgrade was $50 cheaper roughly a month after I received mine. They said they couldn't do anything for me.

With the L2 a blu ray upgrade was $75 off a week after I placed my order. My computer wasn't being built yet, and when I called, they said they could take $50 off my order.

Basically, just call and ask. If the $100 is really worth it to you, then return the computer and order another. (with obvious time delay issues)
