I recently got a used laptop to fix for a friend. But the problem is that it won't charge! Now I searched around and I found another battery for it, so i plugged it in and checked windows battery settings and it showed the percentage charge at 14% (pretty good battery for keeping a charge like that) Now i left it over night to die out and then tried to charge it again. And now the when i hit the power button the lights go on and you can hear the fans start up but then shuts off after a second.

I tried 2 different batteries and 2 different AC adapters as well.I thought laptops could still work as long as you have a valid power source going to it (ie: ac adapter) but still not luck.

If anybody gots the answer please help !!Thanks in advance

Ok now i removed the battery and the laptop boots fine. Is there sometype of power surge going on here? If I try puting the battery in it then it recognizes it! Weird. The first battery has a 0% charge and can't hold a charge any more, but this new battery i have does keep a charge.
