    Sony Vpcea2s1e corsair 2x8gb ram problem and unlock advanced bios

    hi,
    i m use Vpcea2s1e Sony : Support for VPCEA2S1E/L | VPCEA2S1E L | VPCEA2S1EL technical support
    Intel i3 m350 Procesor.
    i try Corsair vengeance 2x8gb 1600mhz ddr3 ram.
    i see 16gb ram on bios no problem.
    but normaly boot After a few seconds then reset my laptop.
    I researched a lot,
    I wanted to make out the bios settings but very limited bios.
    i cannot find bios advanced menu unlock technics.
    my bios version : R0300Y8 Sony : VPCEA2S1E/L updates | Download updates for VPCEA2S1E L | VPCEA2S1EL

    how do use this rams on this notebook ?

    Try updating the bios to latest version, which is the one you have installed, unfortunately Sony is terrible at providing updates. You'll need a bios hack not sure who can help you with that though. I'm not sure your pc supports 1600mhz ddr3 as well as 8GB of ram might be the limit as your pc is 3+ years old that might be why it is rebooting, also in my experience vaio tend to use Samsung ram of late. Does it work with 1 stick of 8GB, it should by downgrading the clock of the ram to 1200mhz or 1333mhz 1000mhz or 800 mhz? Try it!

    Just checked your PC doesn't support 1600mhz DDR3 try and see if it will work with (1) 8GB stick. Good luck
