Hi Everyone,
I currently own a new HP notebook, but am thinking about returning it for a VAIO SZ.
When done building the notebook on the Sony website, I don't see any mention of a warranty program. Those of you that have a Sony, could you please tell me what sort of warranty/technical support do they offer. Also, how is their tech support if you have issues with you laptop?

Standard is one year warranty (I think it covers everything). Please make sure about this but if you buy the notebook using major credit card, they usually would extend the warranty maximum 1 year. The warranty from credit card company usually have a limit, if they think the service cost is too high they would just replace the notebook with a new one.

Both VAIOs I owned came with a link on the desktop that brought one to an extended warranty page.

And you can get an extended Sony warranty for cost within 30 days of purchasing your notebook. The information is packaged with the notebook and you can do it online.
