i will never get why it is so hard for manufacturers to put a large/good trackpad on a laptop. especially on ultraportables.

why is apple the only one that has realized that if you have only have a crappy touchpad, you're going to need bring an EXTRA mouse with your ultraportable? defeating the point of an ultraportable.

of course, its probly because most people don't consider that fact when they buy the lappy in the first place(the same way people don't take into account the accessories they'll need).

From what I remember, the X is so thin that the trackpad size is dictated by the battery clipped in underneath.

I'd spend the $50 more to get the lenovo u260 instead of this. $699 is way too much for an atom.
Even better, you can get Sony's own Vaio Y for $549 and you have money left over for an SSD.

I don't get why some people don't get the point of the X. This is like saying you don't see why people don't by an 18 wheeler instead of a Smart Car.

Personally, I think it's still an amazing piece of equipment. But today, I would buy an 11" MBA instead. It's not much bigger, or expensive and is much more capable.

It isn't worth it. After tax it's still $800. Get a MB Air, or 2 Lenovo X120e.

I'm sure it's more roomy than my P. I mean it's all relative, I get by typing pretty quickly on the P in class. Would I use it as my everyday keyboard 100% of the time, no.

Well, guys, bought it on sale for $699. Absolutely amazing! My P is up for sale. Tired of no track pad and battery sucks a little on a P. Does anyone know where to get info on a SIM CARD mod for the X to use it for GSM-3G?
