    Hi everyone,

I want to buy an external monitor for my sony z590. I was wondering what resolution the graphics card on the laptop can support. I want to maintain the same 16:9 aspect ratio, so i'm looking at monitors with 1600x900 or 2048x1152.

Does anyone have any experience with this? The only reason I'm looking at the 2048x1152 is because I want to have the same clarity and sharpness on the monitor as I do on the laptop screen.

    Any advice?

with HDMI I was able to output at 1900x__ (whatever 1080p is), on a dualscreen setup, so it at least will go that high.

    Great, thank you.

Any advice on what brand of monitor is good? I'm looking at Dell, Samsung, and BenQ.
