Was just doing a bit of customizing of a Z and I discovered that there is no ETA on the US Sony page if you select the i7-620 CPU and the option for the CPU is grayed out in the Japanese page ( with a note saying that CPU is unavailable and they don't have any lead times )

Anyone know then they will be getting more stock

I'd recommend the i5-540M. It's so much cheaper and isn't that far behind the i7-620 in benchmarking tests.

From my understanding Sony is planning to come with a z11 review in mid june and it will have i7. Yes i missed the chance to purchase it in march and now i am waiting because i7 it is a much better option (this is the reason why is gone)

I have my reason to rather get i7 instead of i5: the L3 cache.

I never understand why ppl say that re: i5 v i7. Cache is important, and I only paid $50 more for it.

Actually it's not just the cache that's different. The pure mhz speed is slightly slower and even the turbo boost is slower...

Sure you keep telling yourself the i5 is better.
