How sturdy is the power connector on the Z? The power cord is putting quite a bit of pressure on the connector. The connector is made of plastic, not metal. I have my doubts about the longevity of this kind of connector.

What are your experiences and thoughts?

So far, no problem on the connector. If you take a look on Z manual, the rollcage thingy that protects the connector on the middle is removeable, but not the connector as its attach to the motherboard.

about the toughness, it might break if theres powerful force to that connector. but hell, who would do that? The power connector is wobble but it not a sign of break.

    just my thought.

That's. The wobbling part is what worries me. This kind of connector is unique, it's not like those connectors built into the chasis of the notebook, this one protrudes outside the notebook chasis, so it doesn't feel as sturdy.

I am quite clumsy sometimes, I have tripped over the power cord a couple of times on my previous notebook. I am worried how this connector will survive my tripping over the powercord.
