    I thought this would be a good thread to benefit all...

    Please share the various retailers both brick & mortar and online where you can buy the Z, FW and SR at. Ofcourse, excluding SonyStyle.

    I'm interested in finding out my options from where all can I buy the Z.

    Legend: Brick and Mortar store = BM, Online = O. You may specify your country/city as well.

    From what I personally know so far:

    Sony FW - Bestbuy (BM and O) in the USA.
    Sony Z - Dunno!
    Sony SR - Dunno either!

    PS: Mods.. if this is a repeat thread then you may delete it.

    You can get all of them at Portable One online. Newegg also carries the FW (I also think the SR, not sure about the Z)

    A load of vendors carry Sony Vaio. One just off the top of my head is J+R which is where I am going to view the laptops in stock.

    Oops... I meant to say " other than the top of the line FW198"

    That one is just too expensive, unfortunately. I'm really looking for a fairly basic FW with HiColor.

    Yep, I know... but I'm hoping they add a configuration (or two) that do. I'd rather get one of those than do a CTO through SonyStyle.

    .. any "brick and mortar" national chain that carries/will carry the Z? I went to the sonystyle store in Atlanta (Lenox Mall) a couple of weeks ago while on vacation there, to checkout the Z and was quite bummed out to not find it on display. They said it will be coming in two weeks so I guess this coming week.

    I'm sure eventually all "regular" stores will carry the models but I'm interested in knowing which ones are doing so right now and that's why mentioned only Best Buy as they have the FW currently on display. Unlike Circuit City/Compusa etc.

    For finding online stores I recommend Google shopping, Nextag, Pricerunner, Pricegrabber and so on.

    They offer price comparison and reseller reviews too.
