    I have sony Z591 with 320GB HD.
If I want to upgrade them with 2x128GB SSD, will it be possible?

If yes, what should I do? It is just as simple as replacing the hard drive?

If I upgrade my 320Gb 5400RPM to SSD,
how much faster I can gain when I boot up my windows?
Right now, my boot time is about 1 minute.

    Thank You

Go through MSCONFIG and see what's turning on with Windows. Turn off the ones you don't want.

No, there are special RAID parts you would need; it's not a drop in replacement like swapping your current drive for just a plain 2.5" SSD drive.

Well, boot times depend on a lot of factors: drive speed (Not all drives or SSD are created equal) and how much stuff you have starting when Windows boots. No one can quantify for you how much faster it will be.

Most notebook don't offer raid. Most that do are the really big ones.

You'll have to figure it out on your own. The VGN-Z590UAB was a US model that has it. Here's Sony's Parts department where you can order everything:
    http://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ecom/accessories/web/index.jsp

You wouldn't lose the DVD drive.

I don't know about raid but just replaceing the hard disk was much header than I expected, much harder than most laptops. Also most SSDs are thicker that normal 2.5", it does fit but the rubber corners don't go on quite as well and it's a tight fit. Performance with a single OCZ Vertex is very good, I'm getting 240MB read and 175MB write speed.
