Anyone else having difficulties getting their external monitor (HP w2408) to run under higher resolutions in Windows 7?

My monitor is capable of 1920X1200 res (which functions perfectly in Vista) but in Windows 7 (on speed mode - it won't function otherwise) with the Nvidia drivers it won't get over 1280x768.

The issue seems to be that my Sony Z won't run in HDMI only mode (FN+f7) but rather stays in LCD Monitor + HDMI mode - limiting the res as it needs to be able to run on both screens.

Anybody else having this trouble? Were you able to fix it?
