    Hello,

I have a problem with the docking station for my Sony Z-11, the Z11 itself doesn't have a DVI out, but the docking station does, however with windows 7 the docking station dvi port doesn't work anymore.

How do I fix it? Is there some drivers I need to install, otherwise Win 7 works perfectly on the laptop. Just think there must be something I'm missing, and google doesn't help.

    Any ideas?

Docking station model number is VGP-PRZ1

    1. Z has a HDMI output, i.e. it has DVI output too. You need a HDMI/DVI cable only.
    2. DVI on the docking station works in Speed mode only.
    3. Usually you get following error message, when you try to use DVI on Stamina mode:

If not it's something wrong with your video display driver installation.

My laptop is switched to speed mode, just like it requests.

I've tried forcing detection on the screen, the monitor works if i use HDMI, but then theres a problem that the screen is 1600x1050 which Sony doesnt support through HDMI. At least I haven't found a way to change it?

The video drivers, I followed the guide on here to install the drivers, and everything else works fine... HDMI works, speed/stamina mode works etc. But the docking station doesn't, well everything else works on it, the ethernet port and USB etc, but not the DVI-D.

Maybe i will see if i can find an update for the nvidia video drivers.
