How did the Sony Z1 SXGA 14.1" screen compare to some screens now? Like the IBM T43 or the Sony BX or Sony FJ

Z1 is non-xbrite screen, so it's hard to compare to FJ. I believe T43 and BX all have higher brightness than Z1, although other than that Z1 is probably not too far behind them -- some may argue Z1 actually has better screen because it was built earlier before any cost-out on LCD had been applied.

I had several Z1-systems - actually the screen is not very bright and gets reddish very quickly. But the most important problem is that it gets blurry spots because of the wires behind the panel. They changed the display of my main computer three times (yes, true!) - anyway i took a while to convince them.
