If I were to go with the fresh start option on the Z12, would the sony vaio utilities, such as the control center, Update, and Restore Center, still be included? Thanks in advance.

Yes, but you will lose the Adobe Bundle... If you don't need that go for fresh start :D

I would NOT choose the clean install, as some of the stuff is actually good, like the Adobe stuff. Besides, there isn't much junk, just uninstall what you don't like.

Exactly! There is not much bloatware on the Z series!

That VAIO picture motion browser comes to mind and VAIO video crap. I elected not to get fresh start because of the Adobe bundle.

However, I did wipe my drive shortly after makng restore DVD's and there was an option that installed minimal software that included the Adobe bundle.

I'm sometimes unsure of what software i can safely uninstall since many are intertwined and tied to functionality.

Thanks for the quick replies! I can do without the Adobe bundle. My work is purchasing it for me so I can opt for either the "fresh start" or not. So if it were a free option, would you take it?

Did a comparison of my Z12 with no fresh strat and my F11 with fresh start. Maybe uninstalled 3 or 4 programs i.e. norton, etc, to get them to match.

Other than the Adobe software not being installed, can I ask why you still wouldn't go for the fresh start? Thanks

If it's free, absolutely I would take it. Saves you the time of having to uninstall stuff yourself. Time is not free.
