Two major issues for me with the new Z2 that rendered my productivity ineffective. Almost had to return it.

Issue 1: Cursor constantly being re-positioned while typing, due to unintentional swipes, resulting in incomplete sentences, and words appearing clear across the screen. In this case: mousepad too sensitive to swipes.

Issue 2: 20% to 30% of the time my first 'tap' on the mousepad did not register a click. Found myself having to tap again on the same thing to get it to register. In this case: lack of sensitivity.

    Solution: "SmartSense" settings.
    Solution: "TouchFreeze" application.

"SmartSense" is an option in the Mouse settings menu. It enables you to increase or decrease the sensitivity of the mouse. Decreasing it reduces the chance that you will accidentally re-position your cursor with accidental swipes. Increasing it should solve the problem of "taps" not registering as clicks. But you can't have both - increase sensitivity for one problem and decrease it for the other. So installing "TouchFreeze" fixes this. TouchFreeze disables the mousepad while you are typing and immediately re-enables it when you stop. Therefore you DONT need to *reduce* your "SmartSense" setting. This program takes care of the accidental swipes and cursor repositioning. Next you can take your "SmartSense" setting and put it to "Max" (or whatever necessary). This will increase your mousepad sensitivity if you are having issues with taps not registering. The combination should both address the oversensitivity swipes and the lack of sensitivity to taps. Don't ask me how the same mousepad can be both oversensitive and not sensitive enough. ...

    To install TouchFreeze: TouchFreeze
(I have downloaded and scanned and it is safe) You can also see others discussing it as a solution here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/averatec/26711-cursor-jumping-around-2.html#post2589518

    To find SmartSense settings:

    1) Type "mouse" into your windows search box (Lower left corner)
    2) Click "Device Settings" tab
    3) Click "Settings" button
    4) Click "SmartSense" plus sign bottom of list
    5) Click "SmartSense" submenu item
