Dear all,
I just purchased a sony Z550N from amazon.com. It arrived with a few red and blue pixels when the screen uses a dark background.
Amazon, then, sent me a replacement. But when I turn on this laptop, I immediately noticed that the colors are not displayed right. Especially with ligher colors, there are parallel "stripes" easily seen running from the upper-left to the lower-right (with brighter and dimmer shades). Whenever, I move my head a bit or run my hand before the screen, the "stripes" will show up. This problem doesn't exist with solid white or black colors.
I then looked carefully with the first laptop, it seemed also to have this problem, but far less serious, and it is not noticed if I don't look deliberately. Overall, the display is nicer than the replacement, looking finer and crispier.
I wonder if this is a defect, or I am just unlucky, and got all the bad screens. I searched online, and every one praises the screen of this laptop.
This is really very frustrating - I don't know if and how I should ask for a third laptop from Amazon.
Anyone else has this problem too?
Thanks a lot!
