I have a Sony VGN SZ483N computer with the Intel pro wireless card 3945 ABG
I have recently installed a dual boot with Vista and XP as many programmes I use do not work with Vista.
The wireless works well with Vista but does not with XP - the network shows on XP as connected with the correct icon etc but no data is available from the internet.
I have tried pinging the router but it times out - the driver is correct but not the latest version and for some reason I cannot install an upgrade - ignorance may be a contributing factor to this!
Has anyone any idea what is happening?
    Thanks
    B
