    Hey is there any mid-range gaming notebooks from sony, something comparable to notebooks such as the Qosmio X300-11S or Gateway 7811fx?

    dont think there is, the machine with probably the best GPU is the FW, but im not sure if it qualifies as a gaming laptop

    One of most important factors in gaming laptop is the gpu. And since Sony highest installed gpu at the moment is the 8600 series, i would say no

    Oh what are they then I thought high end would be NP 9262 with dual 9800m gt's or a xps m1730

    Sony doesn't really make gaming laptops, although the cards it includes are generally good for light gaming tasks. They include graphics cards for video encoding/decoding and video/photo editing.
