    Hi
something strange happened to me, I bought Vaio FE 590P09, which includes core processor T2600.
and one day I got an email from the seller telling me that they got an info from one of their customers complaining that she recieved her laptop with different specs thatn she'd ordered, and they stopped shiping FE till Sony clarifies the situation, then he informed me that Sony confirmed that this Model, FE590P09 includes T2400, and they'll send me FE950P11 instead, which costs $2846 while I paid $1906.
can anyone believe that Sony misleads customers for 3 months, or what do you think?

    Regards

Sounds like the classic bait and switch routine to me...who is the seller? Are you saying you have to pay more to get the fe950p11? If so, I think the seller is scamming you.

    Thanks for your quick reply
the seller is Bottom line telecommunications, but if you look in the website, they've already changed the specs of FE590P09 to T2400, that means it's true, right?
    look what they sent me
"Please bear with us while we navigate through the red tape to get this
    squared away"

The prices look high on that site. Have you gone to the sony online store to customize and compare the price? I think you'd be better off buying from Sony. Or get a stock model from a retail store.

Dear Ostack, you were completely right, they asked me to pay $1015 more or they'll refund me the original payment, so I told them to cancel the order and I want my back.

Well it is possible that they and Sony had some miscommunication that caused this, but it really is exactly what a lot of unscrupulous companies do to boost their sales. Hopefully you won't have any trouble with the refund.

    Hi,
I think it was some miscommunications with Sony.
they were honest, and they refunded all what I paid.

Thanks for the advices, you were so helpful
